From the Introduction: There are a lot of reasons why people have started to use Chlorine Dioxide as their choice for water sanitation. CLO2 is chemically quite different from Chlorine. CLO2 only has 2/3 the oxidation potential of Chlorine or stabilized Hydrogen Peroxide but it has 2.5 times more oxidation capacity compared to both of those chemicals. CLO2 is NOT pH dependent like Chlorine and can disinfect your water from a pH of 2 to 10. It is far less corrosive on equipment compared to Chlorine. CLO2 can work on and eliminate biofilm, take out sulfur odors and helps eliminate mineral build up and filtering / removing iron out of your water becomes more effective.
